A Piece of Cake is about an African American woman who at a young age started doing hard drugs to find the love she never got. Her being only age 11 and seeing something tragic happen to her mom forced her to go to a foster home with some not so good parents. Some life challenges that she had to face were going through poverty as she was a kid. She learned to overcome this by finding the love and doing what she had to. I like this book because it’s like a hood book and when you start reading this book its like you never wanna stop reading. I recommend this book to other youth because it’s the perfect book to read if you’re facing some of the challenges she’s facing. Some of us can related to her.
